When you find activities that work for your music room, you obsess through all of the YouTube videos and then anxiously await for a new up load (thank goodness you’ve subscribed for notifications!). It can be tough to find things that you would like adapted for your specialty. I know that I struggle with all of these “brain break” runs that are floating around. I LOVE the themes and creations that are posted. But looking at the root, these were made more with physical education in mind. How do you find these videos for your music room? Check out my YouTube Channel! It’s a Chase Video for Music! In this playlist, you will find videos using music that you teach in your classroom. These videos incoporate the run quality teachers love, cartoons and stories the students love, and musical concepts that you love! These runs feature theory questions such as tempo, dynamics, rhythm and also provide student choice and reflection. Leave this activity in your digital sub tub or use as a filler. This is a great strategy to have your students listen to ENTIRE pieces of classical music. Head over to Mrs. V’s Music Room on YouTube for more runs and other activities!
